Where do the quotes come from?
Aggregated from 100+ FX contributors plus major OTC inter-dealer brokers (Tullett Prebon, ICAP/Parameta, Tradition, Fenics) and market-making banks.
Which intervals does OHLC support?
Daily, hourly and minute intervals, with history reaching back over 55 years depending on the pair. Candle values are based on the BID price, and each time-series call returns up to 100 data points.
Can I use it as a forex chart API?
Yes — the FX OHLC endpoint (Premium) returns Open, High, Low, Close candles at daily, hourly and minute intervals, ready to drive a forex chart or a backtest.
How are timestamps and timezones handled?
Send datetimes as ISO 8601, unix time or UTC date strings, with timezone offsets supported — the response will match the format of your request unless you specify otherwise.
Do I need WebSockets for realtime?
No — Premium's REST endpoints update in realtime. Choose the Premium + WebSockets plan when you want pushed updates instead of polling.
